According to a leaker known as “Ice Universe,” Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the narrowest bezel of any smartphone, breaking the record held by the Mi 13. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 are also expected to have narrower, curvier bezels, similar to the look of the Apple Watch. At this point, if the leaks are true and no narrower bezel phones are released before the iPhone 15 series, then the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the smallest bezel.
According to the leaker’s tweet, the black bezel on the iPhone 15 Pro Max is just 1.55mm wide, narrower than the 1.81mm bezel on the Mi 13. For comparison, the leaker also provided bezel measurements for the iPhone 14 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Ultra S23, which are 2.17mm and 1.95mm, respectively.
Despite some uncertainty, it is rumored that all four models in the iPhone 15 series will have slightly curved bezels, similar to the iPhone 11 series. However, the bezel width on the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus is not expected to change. The iPhone 15 will also have the same display size as last year.
The iPhone 15 Pro model is likely to look similar to the Apple Watch Series 7 and 8 due to its narrower bezel around the screen. There are also rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro will have a titanium frame instead of a stainless steel one, and that the solid-state volume, mute and power buttons won’t move when pressed.
According to the leaker’s CAD renderings and dimensions, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be unique, featuring thinner camera bulges and a smaller footprint.
