Win10 smooth design menu style switch

Microsoft recently rolled out the latest Windows 10 preview Build 20161 on the Dev channel, which is a slew of new features from Microsoft, including a new "fluid design" Start menu.

However, according to IT Home readers, this feature is not yet available to all users. At this point, we need to forcefully enable Win10's new Start Menu with the help of ViveTool. It's worth noting that enabling this feature requires Windows 10 Build 20161 and newer, and existing versions such as 1809, 1903/1909, and 2004 are not supported.

According to the author, the ViveTool allows you to control the features that are being A/B tested for Wn10. First download ‍ViveTool-v0.2.0. zip, its usage is very simple.

Open the unzipped file and type cmd in the Explorer address bar and enter to open a command prompt in the current folder.

At the command prompt, enter the following command:

vivetool addconfig 23615618 2

After receiving the Successfully set feature configuration prompt, restart your computer to enable the new Smooth Design Start menu.

The Start Menu command is limited to Win10 Preview 20161 only, the tool supports Win10 Build 18963 and onwards.
