Apple releases third public beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18
Today, Apple made the third beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 available to public beta testers, meaning the new software is now available to the public. This release comes just a week after the release of the second public beta.
Public beta testers participating in Apple's beta program can download the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 updates by opening the Settings app, going to the General option, clicking on the Software Update section and selecting the iOS 18 Public Beta option.

Apple Intelligence: Deeply Integrated AI Features
iOS 18 introduces Apple Intelligence, an AI feature deeply integrated into the operating system. While not all features are fully available yet, it brings several useful tools, such as a writing tool that rewrites, retouches, proofreads, and summarizes text across apps, as well as the ability to generate custom images through Image Playground and create personalized emojis with Genmoji. In addition, users can generate custom images through Image Playground and create personalized emojis through the Genmoji feature, and Siri has been overhauled. However, it should be noted that Apple Intelligence is not yet available in public beta.
New features for iPhone 15 Pro and M-series iPad
In addition to the AI features (which will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro and M-series iPads), iOS 18 brings a redesigned home screen where users can freely arrange app icons and widgets. There's also a tint option and a new dark color for dark mode available.

The Control Center has also been redesigned and users can pick and arrange the desired controls from the new Control Center and even group related controls and customize the size as well. The flashlight and camera icons on the lock screen can be replaced in this update, and the Action Button on the iPhone 15 Pro can also be used to select Control Center options.

What's New in Messaging Apps
The messaging application supports text timing, users can use any emoticon for the Tapback function, and messages can be sent via satellite. Users can also use text effects for any word, phrase or emoji, and can choose between bold and italicized formatting. For text message exchanges with Android users, Apple now supports RCS, which means that sending images and files will no longer be a problem, in addition to being able to see input instructions and read receipts, and send text messages over Wi-Fi.
Safari and Photos app improvements
The Safari browser summarizes web pages and lets users see important information at a glance, and the Photos app has been revamped to focus more on showcasing users' best photos. A dedicated password app makes it easier for users to access saved passwords and logins, and any app can now be locked with Face ID or Touch ID.
Special Update: Distraction Control
In today's beta, Apple has added Distraction Control, a feature that allows users to hide distracting elements such as pop-ups on web pages.
