So far, 9to5Mac has shown exclusive renders of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. Now, we've got a CAD model of the iPhone 15 Plus, and 3D graphics expert Ian Zelbo has created some exclusive renders to show off the new device.

As we explained before, the CAD files that these renders are based on are provided by Apple to its partners in the supply chain in preparation for the release of the new iPhone. These types of files are highly accurate to the final device in terms of dimensions and design, as Apple's partners will pay a high price if the files are inaccurate.
The iPhone 15 Plus renders seen here show most of what we expect based on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro reports. At the bottom of the device, you can clearly see the new USB-C port, which will eventually replace Lightning for charging and data transfer.

The iPhone 15 Plus will also feature the Dynamic Island, which means that Apple's entire iPhone 15 lineup will have the Dynamic Island, and the notch will no longer be a "feature" of any current iPhone. The iPhone 15 Plus also has thinner bezels than the iPhone 14 Plus.

Documents viewed by the 9to5Mac website also confirm the exact dimensions of the iPhone 15 Plus, they are.
160.87 mm high
77.76 mm wide
7.81 mm thick
For comparison purposes, here are the dimensions of the iPhone 14 Plus:.
160.84 mm high
78.07 mm wide
7.79 mm thick
As you can see, the iPhone 15 Plus is slightly taller, narrower and thicker than the iPhone 14 Plus. In addition, the camera bump on the back of the iPhone 15 Plus is thicker than its predecessor.

Like the rest of the iPhone 15 lineup, the iPhone 15 Plus has a new body design with slightly rounded edges. This makes the transition from the front to the back of the device less difficult.

The iPhone 14 Plus has apparently sold less than Apple expected, but the company is continuing to keep the form factor in the iPhone lineup. It remains to be seen if changes like USB-C and Dynamic Island will be enough to move buyers to the iPhone 15 Plus. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
