6z IntzCell Phone ChannelOctober 6, 2010 - Apple has tweaked the design of the dynamic island edges on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in iOS 16.1 Beta to be more visible on dark backgrounds (wallpapers), and when using darker wallpapers or darker interfaces with darker modes activated, when the screen is darkened or the dynamic island is active, a light Gray border.

In iOS 16.0.2, Dynamic Island had a very faint border around it, but the iOS 16.1 beta makes it more visible. It's unclear why Apple made this change and what it ended up adding to the Dynamic Island interface. For those who use dark backgrounds to make the Dynamic Island blend in better with their on-screen wallpaper, the new Dynamic Island border is a real downer.
