The iPhone XR, which also has a bangs screen, and the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini don't support the battery percentage display, so we'll have to wait and see as iOS 16 is still in beta testing and Apple may decide to expand the list to include other iPhones in the future. While it's not entirely clear why Apple chose to limit the availability of this feature, it could be due to space constraints on smaller displays.
