Indian vendor launches Lava X2 entry-level phone to take on domestic vendor Transsion

Priced under $800, the smartphone comes with HD+ display and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek processor and comes with a 5000 mAh battery.

The Lava X2 is priced at $578 and can be booked on Amazon India. Customers who book the Lava X2 can enjoy a discount of $33 and get the smartphone for $545. Pre-orders will be available till the 11th. Consumers can choose to buy the smartphone in blue and cyan colors. Apart from Amazon, consumers can also buy this smartphone from Lava e-store.

At this price point, the smartphone will face competition from domestic manufacturer Transsion Tecno Pop 5 LTE. The smartphone is priced at $560 and comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display. The entry-level smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery and 8MP dual rear cameras.

Lava X2 configuration parameters

The Lava X2 comes with a 6.5-inch HD display with a screen aspect ratio of 20:9.The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 32GB of RAM which can be further expanded by adding a microSD card.

The dual SIM smartphone runs Android OS and comes with a 5000mah battery, the Lava X2 comes with an 8MP primary sensor and a 5MP selfie front camera.
