Last year Huawei launched the Mate 40 series, which includes four Porsche Designs in the Mate 40/Pro/Pro+ and Mate 40 RS lineups, and now it's upgrading its lineup.
This morning, Huawei Terminal's official Weibo account announced that the Huawei Mate 40 E will open for pre-order this afternoon and go on sale on March 18th.
Pricing wise, the Huawei Mate 40 E is priced at Rs. 4,599 for the 8+128 GB variant and Rs. 5,099 for the 8+256 GB variant, which is less than the Rs. 4,999 price tag of the standard version of the Mate 40, and is available in Glossy Black, Secret Silver, and Glazed White colors.
However, this core configuration has been changed to feature a Kirin 990 E chip manufactured on a 7 nm EUV process, consisting of a CortexA76 large core + CortexA55 energy-saving cores with a CPU frequency of up to 2.86 GHz.
In terms of GPU, Kirin 990 E integrates a 14-core Mali-G76, and the NPU is a dual-core da Vinci architecture of macrocore + microcore, which, in comparison, is equivalent to another major overhaul of the Kirin 9905 G.
In other configurations, the device features a FHD+ hole-cut screen, a rear super-sensitive Leica triple camera (parameters not announced), a 46MP triple camera, and a 4200 mAh battery.
