Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Ericsson's chief executive let slip to the media that "if the ban against Huawei continues, the company will leave Sweden," according to Globe and other media outlets, citing Sweden's Daily News newspaper.
Ericsson has been voicing protests and unjust opposition to Huawei's 5G ban as it plans to ban Huawei from participating in Sweden's 5 G construction projects, fearing for its position, such as being squeezed out of the Chinese market, according to Sweden's Daily News.

In a text message sent to Swedish Commerce Minister Anna Hallberg (Anna Hallberg), Ericsson CEO Yikang Bao said the company will leave Sweden unless (the Swedish government) lifts the ban on Huawei and ZTE, the Daily News reported.
But Holberg replied that the government could not lift Huawei's ban because the interim secretariat of the Swedish Post and Telecommunications Authority decided on the situation, and that the secretariat's decision was based on recommendations from the security services and the defense forces.
Ericsson CEO Yikang Bao has said he attaches great importance to the Chinese market and supports Huawei and the three major carriers in filing injunction lawsuits.
According to public information, Ericsson has tried to hire a lawyer to assist Huawei in the lawsuit (winning the case bans Sweden). And Bao Yikang said: "Although we have talked to several law firms in Sweden, but no one wants to help Huawei. There are a lot of cowards here.
