China ICT releases cell phone shipments for May

The report mentioned that in May 2020, the total shipments of the domestic cell phone market was 33.759 million, down 11.8% from the same period of the previous year; from January to May, the total shipments was 124 million, down 18.0% from the same period of the previous year; 32 new models, down 22.0% from the same period of the previous year.From January to May, there were a total of 169 new models released, a year-on-year decline of 18.8%.

As for the shipment of 5 G cell phones in May, the shipment of 5 G cell phones in the domestic market was 15.644 million units, accounting for 46.3% of the shipment of cell phones in the same period; 16 new models were listed, accounting for 50.0% of the number of cell phone listings in the same period.From January to May, the cumulative shipment of 5 G cell phones in the domestic market was 46.084 million units, and a cumulative total of 81 new models were listed, which accounted for 37.01 TP3T and 47.9% respectively.
